Itinerary

Day 1 - Wednesday, May 24: Koh Tao

On the first day of our trip, we fly into Thailand and get settled. There will be time for everyone to take in the sights and sounds of this exotic paradise. Later on in the day, we'll have our first group WOD at CF Koh Tao, and have our welcome dinner come the beautiful tropical evening.

Day 2 - Thursday, May 25: Koh Tao

Early to rise! We will spend the day training with and learning from one of the best weightlifters in the world, IWF world champion, Olympic silver medalist and GRID athlete Dmitry Klokov. Dmitry will be teaching us the subtle nuances of both classic lifts, the snatch and the clean and jerk using techniques honed from his time training in the Russian weightlifting system.

Day 3 - Friday, May 26: Koh Tao

We've got 3 activities scheduled for today, we kick off our day by breaking into a nice group WOD. After that, we move on to our second activity -- rock climbing! Get ready to see the island from a unique perspective. Our final activity for the day is an optional booze cruise as we enjoy the Thailand sunset.

Day 4 - Saturday, May 27: Koh Tao

Our 4th day is a free day so you can do as you please. Take in the local sights and cuisine, visit local hotspots and enjoy Koh Tao in a flavor of your choosing. Later on in the day, you have the choice of taking an optional muay thai session as well!

Day 5 - Sunday, May 28: Koh Tao

For our 5th day, we have another set of 3 activties. We first start off with a group WOD, then move onto the waters for discovery diving. Later on in the afternoon we do a group yoga session as the sun sets over Koh Tao.

 

Day 6 - Monday, May 29: Koh Tao

We have another group WOD scheduled for today's first activity before moving onto something very exciting -- cliff jumping! Take a leap and dive into the waters below. Later at night we have the option of enjoying the island’s nightlife.

Day 7 - Tuesday, May 30: Koh Tao

Today is the last day of our trip. We wrap everything up and get ready to depart, all the while savoring the experiences and memories of Thailand's Koh Tao. Time to look back on an amazing week filled with sun, sand and adventures with many new friendships made. Combined with the experience of training at CrossFit Koh Tao, the weightlifting workshop with Dmitry Klokov, yoga and all the activities combined make up your epic Thailand getaway.

Dmitry Klokov

Dmitry is a Russian weightlifter who competed in the 105 kg category. He won the world championships in 2005 with a 419 kg total, snatching 192 kg and clean and jerking 227 kg. He won the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the men's 105 kg category with a total of 423 kg. Recently, Dmitry has retired from the sport of weightlifting and has found fame bringing his enthusiastic style of weightlifting to all corners of the globe. One of the great showmen of the world of weightlifting with amazing strength second to none, Dmitry joins us as a guest coach for a weightlifting seminar on our Thailand - Koh Tao trip.
